MERGING..MERGE LIKE A ZIP=1 from left & 1 from the right. REPEATKeep visual checks on both the car in front of you and the one directly in front of that. This is the forward scanning technique.

Structured Info
Driving lessons are based on the NZTA regulation manuals I.e. The Road Code and training material designed for all Driving Instructors.
Depending on the students pre-planned program, lessons may vary in drive time. It will incorporate a certain amount of learning from the road code during the lessons, this identifies crucial needs easier for students to operate under stress when sitting the actual tests.
Each lesson will be done in a specific area which is determined by the student driving ability.
Every practical route is specifically chosen for the trainee to safely manoeuvre driving functions. It will be in an area of low to minimal traffic and little distractions. Every lesson will be under full instructions of the Instructor and dual controls will be applied if necessary. Instructions will be verbal and visual which needs the full concentration and attention of the student. With safety in mind, distractions i.e. cell phones, iPods, headphones and such like must not be used during lessons. Failure to adhere and safety is compromised, the lesson will be terminated.
Parents, guardians or a friend are welcome to attend but must not distract or communicate with them during the lesson. Comfortable clothing and footwear for driving but PLEASE no Work Boots, jandels or Stiletto's.
Also note, the vehicle is equipped with a dash cam. This is for the safety of the student and instructor.

Induction of New Drivers
It is important to make sure that all new employees have the skills to safely drive your vehicles. Some will be from other countries where driving practices are different to those in NZ. Ensure the safety of your vehicles and drivers by enrolling new staff on a New Driver Induction Course.
Risk Assessment for Drivers
It is becoming company policy in some instances to annually assess their drivers. This ensures that their skill levels are being maintained and all health & safety obligations are being met. This benefits both your business and your drivers.
